THE Goods and Services Tax (GST) will be implemented in April next year but most Malaysians still do not know how it works.
This includes university students as well and some are even not interested to know how it works and how it will affect them.
And this is despite the Government’s promotional efforts that include advertising on TV and radio, billboards and newspapers.
In fact, people can get all the information they need about the GST by going to the webpage www.gst.customs.gov.my that is also bilingual.
Students especially, have to be very alert about the GST because it will have a long-term impact on them. They need to be prepared and start to plan their expenses in the future.
