KUALA LUMPUR: JF Apex Research expects DRB-Hicom and Konsortium Logistik Bhd, Hock Seng Lee, My EG Services and Censof to see trading interest on Monday.
It said DRB-Hicom had proposed to buy a 61.6% stake in Konsortium Logistik and hence triggering a mandatory general offer at offer share price of RM1.55.
Hock Seng Lee secured a RM86.7mil project to build a raw water pumping station for Tanjung Manis in Sarawak.
JF Apex Research said as for MyEG and Censof, could see trading interest after the government decided to implement the goods and service tax (GST) in 2015.
Also in focus could be brewery, gaming, construction counters as the Budget 2014 did not outline any sin tax, gaming tax, and deferment of mega projects.
However, property counters namely developers with high end projects and sizeable exposures in Iskandar Malaysia as it may be affected by the property cooling measures in the Budget.
On the Malaysian equities, JF Apex Research said the FBM KLCI shed 1.36 points to 1,817.57 last Friday.“Following the favourable sentiment in the US coupled with the announcement of Budget 2014 , we expect the index to be ‘neutral to positive’ with an eye on the resistance of 1,826,” it said.
