THERE will be a seminar on the Goods and Services Tax (GST) on March 4 in Penang.
The seminar, which is open to the public, is organised by the Penang branch of the Malaysian Association of Company Secretaries (MACS) with assistance from the Royal Malaysian Customs.
It will be held at the Customs Complex in Seberang Jaya from 8am to 5pm.
The fees are RM180 for MACS members and RM250 for non-members.
Those who are interested to attend the seminar can download the registration form from the MACS website (www.macs.org.my).
Registration closes on Feb 28.
The seminar is organised to educate those who are directly involved in dealing with the GST as well as to create public awareness of the system which will be implemented next year.
MACS representative John Tan said the seminar will, among others, explain the general mechanics of the GST.
He said there would be a question and answer (Q&A) session at the end of the seminar panelled by members of the Royal Malaysian Customs.
